Aromatherapy is the controlled use of aromatic oils, also called essential oils, which are extracted from plants and usually used in the form of massage. These oils have been in use since ancient times and each has its own particular healing properties. The therapeutic use of these oils relieves stress, enhances health and well-being, and supports the healing process. The oils used in this massage are selected specifically for you and your needs and work by absorption of minute quantities through the skin and also by the inhalation of the aroma.
Most essential oils are too strong to be used neat on the body and are therefore diluted in a carrier oil such as almond oil.
Aromatherapy is effective for:
Stress
Skin problems
Hormonal imbalance
Enhancing the immune system
Digestive disorders
Muscular-skeletal problems eg. backache and arthritis
