Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage
This technique was pioneered in the 1930's and is a popular treatment in many European spas and hospitals. It is designed to improve the functioning of the lymphatic system and consists of very light repetitive skin movements which are soothing and relaxing. No oils are used. The treatment stimulates the passage of metabolic waste products and excess fluid into the lymph system where filtration occurs. It also enhances the transport of white blood cells around the body. This technique is the most natural detox: nothing is added to the body.
Conditions which are treated include:
Fluid congestion: tired puffy eyes, swollen legs and ankles, PMT
Healing burns and wounds and can improve the appearance of old scars.
Post operative or traumatic bruising and swelling eg after joint replacement surgery. Useful in cases of leg ulcers.
Healing broken bones and torn ligaments and sprains. Pain is often eased.
Chronic inflammatory conditions: catarrh, sinusitis, arthritis and acne.
